HOOPES ROSE NAPA VALLEY

Wine Details

“Rosé is a beautiful wine and I can often be found with a chilled glass of it in my hand taking in the beauty of our vineyards. We wanted our rosé to find inspiration in our flagship wines, and to emphasize Napa’s most special grape, Cabernet Sauvignon, so we decided to make a rosé primarily from our Cabernet Sauvignon production. During fermentation of our red wines, about 10% of the juice was bled off, in the traditional Saignée method, making this rosé speak as closely as possible to our legendary home vineyard. Just like I'm Spencer’s scion, this rosé is my pet project!”

Tasting Notes
“This pretty pink wine comes to the table with substance and character but is still easy to sip. It has bright aromas of sun-ripened strawberry, guava and just a hint of herbs de Provence. The thread of fresh fruit follows into the mouth along with flavors of cranberry and watermelon. The finish is at once crisp and juicy with good length.”
